Time passes so quickly when you’re a parent. You just get used to one stage when another emerges. The message here is change happens; don’t sweat it, cherish it.
Adventures in the creative trade
This was something I saw going around the Internet a while back. I figured I’d give it a shot, just to see if I could muster the discipline to go 100 days without alcohol. My biggest realization was how much the cost-benefit analysis tipped in favour of skipping the booze altogether!
In this piece, I talk about my journey through fatherhood, learning as I go and the importance of being a positive role model. There’s so much to learn about being a good dad, and we all have to learn as we go along, sometimes winning, sometimes losing, but always in awe of the beauty of it all!
It was a real pleasure to meet and listen to Rob Martin’s story. Rob is an exceptional and inspirational human being who reminds us that, no matter how dark the night seems, there is a new morning and new life and you can make it through to embrace both to the fullest.
Thanks Rob!
It’s hard to beat character animation, motion graphics, and live video when it comes to getting your message across. Here is a short piece I recently wrote and produced for CTC Communications, an award-winning healthcare communications company.
Video continues to dominate the web, with no slowdown in sight. By 2021, a million minutes of video content will cross global IP networks every second, according to Cisco.
So if you’ve got a story to tell, and you want to reach an audience that is receptive to hearing it, video is simply essential. The good news is that producing great video is now more affordable than ever!
Here’s a small piece that tells the story of changing attitudes when it comes to treating people with cancer.
There are many paths to healing. In this video, Dr. Janet McCulloch of the Kingston Institute of Psychotherapy and Neurofeedback shares her own top-ten list of the best ways to heal PTSD.
Dr. McCulloch specializes in one of the newest and most innovative therapies: neurofeedback. The process helps a person self-manage their mood and mental state through feedback training.
I had a really inspirational time with this exceptional therapist and look forward to more filming for our soldiers and first responders awareness campaign – longridehome.ca – shortly.
It’s always a great experience to shoot at this event. Lots of craft brewers, great wines and an opportunity to taste test the eclectic flavors of Leslieville. Should be a must attend on your yearly schedule of events in the hood!
Had a blast shooting Scotiabank’s Pro-Am for Alzheimers! Kudos to producer Cameron McCleery ( who pulled the team together to contribute their services) and Richard Cerezo (he was the guy who did the skating shots:).
We are so lucky in Canada and Toronto to have so many truly world-class health facilities. Baycrest is a global leader in advancing prevention and treatment of age-related disease. Really worthy of support!
